    Default New Affiliate Questions

So I have been writing on PAL for you guys for a while now, and I have recently started my very first poker site. I only have like 40 pages on it so far, but I am aiming for Randy Rae's suggested 100 pages before I will actually call it a website.

I understand that analyzing my competition's sites and other sites like mine to see what they are doing well and making money with is very important. Anyone have any suggestions with this process? Whether it is some sort of plugin that I can get to analyze their site better or if its just a great thought process to use, please give me your suggestions. I will be hosting a critique post of my site sometime on the next week or two. Thanks for the help guys. I appreciate what you do for us beginners on PAL.

Hi - I think that your question is a bit too generic to get answers that will help you a lot.

But let me try to give you a generic answer to your question.

First you have to understand how our industry works - this is very simple:

(Visitors to your site) x (Conversion rate of these visitors) x (revenue per converting visitor) = your $$$

You now just have to analyse other sites and try to figure out what they do better than you in order to increase the figures of these three variables.

Well, I guess you are right. There are a lot of different factors that would come into play that could vary. Thanks for the help you could give.

Unsure exactly what you are looking for here but Randy Ray is right in saying content works and a site with a few pages has little to offer. You should also make your site different than the tens of thousands of other poker portals out there. What are you offering which is different to other sites? Do you have a poker tool, a community, or something new?
