We can say there are 2 types of players:
- regulars: who likes pokerstars and keep on coming back; these guys easily break 250 FPP, they climb the VIP ladder, these are the ones stars want; on average theses guys make WAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY more than 250 FPPs.
- one-timers: these try online poker once (or say Stars once), make a small deposit, lose it, do not come back; these people will earn 50, 100, 200,300 FPPs; something like that.
So think about it:
by making these change, they are just putting the bar higher for the "one-timers"; in statistics, this is called a truncated distribution; and the math are highly simple: they are openly stealing from us;
if they make a change in their promotions, it will not really affect the one timers; it will mostly affect the regulars, and therefore have no benefit to us, only to them;
so this new VIP system which will make players play more is total bs as far as fairly compensating affiliates is concerned.
