PAL Sucks - Mod Absuse and Scams

I commented in a thread in as nice of terms as I could a situation where Randy scammed me for $1,500. I even said in this I think there is a strong chance it was negligence but certainly he dropped the ball many times when i contacted him. I did not give heat because really that's not my style when it comes to someone taking advantage of me, I know things even out in the end.

After seeing though in another thread that others had an issue with Randy and me already being of the opinion he abuses his mod status for his own business interests I decided to comment and share my story. Apparently others did as well and they had issues with Randy also.

Why don't we know about this? Because PAL deletes the threads. This is not the first time there has been a thread deleted when someone has an issue with Randy.

One Mod just told me there not going to let his reputation be ran through the mud. Umm well what then? There are clear issues with him some people want to voice. Its in a private forum as long as its truthful why does it need to be covered up. Anyways I guess that is how it works.

I know maybe I don't have a following like i did a long time ago when I was very active on MSN helping MANY new affiliates but for anyone impartial and open to a suggestion I STRONGY encourage you not do business with Randy and the mods that protect him when there is another option. His website Rake Update to name one of many.

I care much less about the issue here then I do about the censorship. The way these guys do business sucks - and I strongly suggest when there is another option not being associated with Randy.

Anyways I call it like I see it. At the time I posted I really thought it was a misunderstanding, but now after seeing way things are going I'm leaning much more towards it being a cover up.

To most it will unfold how Randy and his business partner mods would like for it to unfold, hence my post. That's how it works around here, we just finally had an issue that put it into perspective, it doesn't change this is how things have been for a while now. I just personally didn't have motivation to respond and bit lip until now. When seeing others affected the same, i decided to share my personal account which was entirely factual, carefully written and professionally stated I spent a while writing it. No one will see that though because it does not meet PAL editorial standards as certain mods must be protected.

Not that i carry any weight on here whatsoever, but i'll offer my opinion as an impartial observer. In general i don't think that pal sucks at all. I've found alot of the people that i've met on here to be good, honest people, and i've had the opportunity to both learn from and help alot of people through here, which i believe is what makes the world go around. On the other hand, things really shouldn't be censored. If an accusation is made to somebodys detriment without foundation or proof, and is totaly denied by the accused, i can understand the post/thread being deleted, but if a reasonable accusation is made and isn't left open to be resolved, deleting it leaves more doubt in peoples minds than leaving it open would.

I don't agree with threads being deleted either, I have two suggestions which will hopefully help this situation in the short term.

1. Anyone who wants to voice anything, put it in the PAL members only forum - make any allegation you want against anyone, but please don't post domains or use personal attacks like name calling or anything like that.

2. Everyone wait for Jeremy to get into the office tomorrow morning, he isn't usually around on the weekends.

I don't know who deleted threads, but I can promise no more threads will be deleted until Jeremy has a chance to sit down with us. At least this way everyone knows that their isn't a censorship campaign going on PAP style - at least not one I know about.

We all operate freely here, any mod can ban anyone or close/delete any thread - obviously though Jeremy trusts us to act in good faith. We've been talking about getting us some guidelines to follow especially for situations when a PAL staff member is involved in a dispute. I think this makes it even more clear that we need to work on that, and I'm sure we will.

In any event no threads will be deleted by me.

We are all kinda here on good faith, not paid and not profiting but basically put here just to ban spammers - not police threads or silence voices, by all means please post anything you want.

Deleting a thread like that is/could be suecide, we all know what happend a year ago.

Jeremy (im guessing) should put some ground rules about hanging out scammers, two ways to go imo
1. Hang'em high
2. Dont
Its black or white, no grey areas.

There is plenty of hang'em high threads on pal and people dont have a problem with it just becouse its about someone unknown so who gives a f*ck right?

If someone would make a thread about ME scamming someone there would not be a MOD in the world that would give a rat's ass, you know why? who am i? im nobody, hang that f*cker.

I dont think Jeremy know about this yet, i think he is smarter than this, deleting thread = suecide.

The thread was in the private area so why not let them throw shit at each other? yes yes i know, its a buissnes forum but people talk shit about each other in all ages and in all classes, rich or poor, successful not successful.

The unknown have spoken.
