    Default Opportunities for diversification

    Hi

I have a niche poker strategy site. I would like to diversify my web presence in order to decrease my risk exposure and to potentially find more profitable affiliate marketing income sources.
I see the following opportunities for diversification:

    - A new niche in the poker industry (e.g. poker tournament news)
    - A niche in the gambling industry (e.g. sportsbook, casino)
    - A regional diversification in the poker (or later gambling) industry (e.g. adding another language like English to my German site)
    - A completely new industry (e.g. Forex)

I would like to know if you have diversified your poker affiliate marketing business (and if not, why not).

Please post your opinion and maybe ddiscuss the pro's and con's of your approach.

I have a few adsense based sites in other areas. The biggest one is a music site, then a bunch of small niche sites.

big fan of other industries. just getting into travel and adsense sites myself. more accountability among operators IMHO, less spam, less volatility over the 2+ year time span. Just try and pick something where there is at least some money coming from advertisers in general. A lot of hobby sites don't quite fit there. I think that whatever you like to do, it's pretty easy to find a way to tie it to the travel industry and there is always lots of money there it seems- lodging niche mostly.

This site used to make decent cash. This is a website that just about anyone here could handle; very simple travel website. It used to be first page for some germany tourism terms.

I have seen that the efficiency drastically increases with additional sites. What I mean by this: When I started half a year ago with my first website, I had no clue about Wordpress, WP Plugins, HTML, SEO and all the other important things a webmaster and affilate marketer has to know.

I have added a site about a completely different industry (finance). Besides writing content, I was able to do the other tasks in about 10-20% of the time I needed for my first site. And: Even though it's a completely different industry, the basic approach remains the same: writing strategies (how to earn money instead of how to win at poker) and make recommendations (which banks instead of which poker rooms).

But my question remains: Which option for diversification of the ones I mentioned above seems to be the best one?

Well if you want to decrease your risk exposure then i guess that you need to work with other programs for a start off, therefore poker is probably not the ideal. Therefore the regional diversification is probably not the way forward.

As you have had success in the gambling industry i would consider that you probably have what it takes to succeed in the industry so would suggest that another gambling niche the best option. Although, if your success is mainly down to being good with poker strategy then this may not be the case.

Otherwise i would consider a completely new industry and possibly not even Forex.

Join some internet marketing forums such as Warrior Forum, Wicked Fire, etc and read up on other affiliate options. I expanded out to health and diet topics and increased my monthly revenue by a good amount within 6 months.
