Default Calling out Affiliate Programs - Enough is enough - time for a change...

I started this rant in the Poker Stars thread going on right now, and thought it deserved it's own discussion.

My goal this year is to really push rooms that are showing POSITIVE IMPROVEMENTS.

I am NOT talking about a great promo or something, I am talking about upgrades to the affiliate program itself.

If you are an affiliate manager that has the "power" to make great positive changes to your program or are part of a team that will do that, please post your coming improvements here and be sure to PM me, as I will be pushing your rooms hard.

I am sick and tired of programs who take "forever" to improve their programs, make promises that they "never get around to" or can't keep, and programs that are stuck in the mud or don't listen to their affiliates.

You have the most AMAZING resource here - PAL - to listen to your affiliates and make huge improvements in the industry.

Please open your ears and make the changes that "count" for all parties.

So, AMs - start posting here - I want to hear HOW you are improving your programs.

And AFFILIATES - I want to hear the changes you are DEMANDING.

Let's work together and get some good things going moving forward.

    Enough is enough...

I wont be giving good exposure to rooms, such as PokerStars, who change terms for affiliates for the worse (especially when they are only paying $75 CPA).

I've been sick of Stars for a long time. So much happier and getting so many more signups after moving to other poker rooms. Will continue to promote other rooms in the future.
Even if you fall on your face, you're still moving forward.

Why would they make their terms better, when 99% of the people clearly dont care if they make it them worse? If anything in 2010 more and more programs will be trying to screw affiliates by introducing new rules such as average player value requirement.
Sure you can cross your fingers and hope for the best, but the only way to actually have any type of chance at getting positive things to happen is to show that you are actually ready to walk away when they make the negative changes.

WE OWN THE INTERNET. All this bullshit about how big companies can control us and the internet is crap. Sites can spend their millions of advertisement but when ppl google "xxx site review" and see it not listed in the top ten that may make the person think a little about the site they are playing at.
If you keep taking the affiliate beat down you will soon be left with nothing.

I've been saying this forever. Nice to see so many others are recognizing this.

I've posted most of my thoughts on this already. Everyone here is violating t&c for many of these sites even by using title tags and anchor text to target their terms. It goes unnoticed and most people don't even read that far into t&c to be aware of this. This basically means that no matter what happens, you have no recourse. You are in violation and your agreement can be terminated based solely upon this. They can do whatever they want to you.

I'm sure most of you knew this before you read my new T&C thread, but I don't really have the weight to make anyone give a shit. It's unlikely that anyone does.

FTP Agreement Section 6... for those of you who thought I couldn't possibly be serious.

Jokes. "Promote Full Tilt, but don't you DARE use our name!!!!" It's their right to make the rules, but it doesn't mean that they aren't retarded.
