Live Video Streaming?

Hello people!

I was thinking about doing a video stream of a live poker tournament. Do you know anything about it?

My first idea would be to use a digital camera plugged on a laptop. But what should I use to stream the video on my website, for example?

Any help would be appreciated!

You need screen recording software and can do something similar to what pokertube.com does. Worth looking at their site for ideas.

i once used VideoWhisper with Joomla opensource for similar requirement

Jeremy and I have used uStream.tv before for several videos. Once you're stream is captured make sure you can archive it. I'd suggest creating a YouTube and Vimeo channel. You'd be surprised how much search traffic those can pull!

I used to hold an online poker competition and recorded whe whole watch with screen recording software. As Simon said, it's really quite an easy way to record desktop activity with such kind of program, and of course cheaper than a real camera.
