If you are good friends it's a simple understanding - you tell him "I support what you do and I appreciate your friendship, but I cannot support or be involved with the company you work for".

When it's between friends and handled with class, it really can be that simple.

To put this even slightly on Cake is misguided imo. I'd much rather see players be paid without Cake's involvement. I don't feel its the networks roll at all, if they step up and take care of it this should be like "wow thanks" and bonus points, A+ etc. It should not be the "... about time" attitude.

Thanks for the kind words John. It is really no secret anymore that I have indeed been threatened with seven figure lawsuits and demanded to turn over PokerAffiliteListings.com to PAP. Although I could share all the details of the multiple C&D letters, I will refrain right now.

I have met with my attorney's however and already spent a fair amount of money preparing any case that may be made against me. I am not afraid to go to litigation against both Warren and Lou as I am 110% confident I will win. Likewise if I indeed do get a lawsuit pressed against me, I have a few surprises for the plaintiffs if you will.

There are also other C&D's that have been sent to others in this industry, and probably heaps more to come this week. I have come to the realization that desperate people will go to desperate measures and attempt to threaten and scare people with C&D's. For the record, I'm not scurred. This is pretty standard of big business against small business or individuals in the U.S.

This is a $129 Vbulletin private community of only 240 individuals that doesn't even rank in the SERPS or make any significant revenue. If you have millions of dollars, then spend your money on development and innovation, not litigation.

If you feel that you need to sue everyone for everything in such a small industry like the one we work in, maybe it's time to look in the mirror and question exactly "why" your business is struggling. I promise you, it runs deeper than one employee of 9 months deciding on his free will to leave your organization.
