Default Need Opinions + Thread with Potential

    I need some help.

Im not going to share my sites in public for this - so dont even ask , but it is not in the gambling industry - it is outside. None of that should matter.

So a network of sites, none of them are hugely successful - although I do anticipate that they will be. On one site, the main site - there are thousands of very high quality pages. Every page pretty much is 1200+ words. I truly believe it is some of the best content out there. Then I have been acquiring other sites that are somewhat successful when it comes to traffic but suck real bad at converting the traffic into money. Then I have other little sites too.

    Getting to the point:

I have an opportunity to purchase a website, that is fairly large. The site gets 30K unique visitors per month, and supposedly the guy claims that he does $500K per year in sales. Now, he is drop shipping (the site sells physical products) so the profit on that is not even close to 500k, its prolly more like $60k per year, maybe a little more or less. We have not gotten into details yet - its all just talk.

The site is from like 1995, and nothing has changed since then. It looks like a site that was designed in Microsoft Paint. He does a terrible job of just about everything. I seriously think I can double or triple anything that he is making now. Just by setting up a successful email campaign alone, I believe I can make a significant amount more.

What I am really wondering about though...and many here may know.

Would this benefit my other sites (especially my main ones) as much as I think it would? Do you think that I could really take advantage of those 30K+ visitors (all organic) and use them to make even more money by sending them to my other main site and vise versa?

How much of an impact would having an authority site like that have on my other sites? If I know what I am doing and take the proper actions to make that traffic work for me all across my network.

To add value to this thread for everyone else lets keep this general. How valuable is it for a Network to have a main authority site? Im selling physical products on the site I am thinking about buying. My main site with thousands of pages is just a informational portal, where income comes from affiliate sales and private advertising.

Also - Do you think this adds a lot of value to my network just because of the sheer amount of newsletter signups that I could end up getting form this site, and use for the rest of my sites, making just one huge list.

Thanks so much for reading all of this, I know it was long.
If you need Casino Reviews, I probably have the one(s) you're looking for.

    First let me say wow.

Ok, down to business. I would really look over his books before purchasing his business. Im sure you was going to do that anyway. It seems to me you already put a plan together but I will give my input.

Yes, owning that site would really boost your network. For your main site, I would remove all affiliate links and not renew the private ads just to drive that traffic to your (newly bought business) product website. Getting newsletter signups from both sites would build one massive list that is very profitable as long as you inform your visitors about the products and how they can help.

Sometimes in business you need to stay a risk and this is one risk that looks like it will take your network to the next level.

    Just my 2 cent
