Default Posting on 2+2 for pity just isn't bright

Someone posted for players to petition in favor of affiliates as it relates to this new FTP rule regarding rakeback. I hope by now you see the error of your ways. Players don't need to know what we do or how we do it. After a few posts where people were calling players idiots and morons I jumped in and gave my story. That seemed to help our cause a bit.

Certainly players have some remote stake in this battle but ultimately they see no value in what we do nor should they.

The next time someone thinks of posting on 2+2 to gain the sympathy of players just don't. It's a real bad idea and it's bad for business.

Whether you agree or disagree with FTP nothing really changes much for the player. This should have been obvious before you made the post.

This reminds me of when I was in university and the professors went on strike. One of their tactics was to sollicit support from students. While I understood that there was indeed salary inequities as compared with other Universities in Atlantic Canada, I honestly didn't give a shit. Know why? Because I paid an expensive tuition fee to be in a post graduate program, and nobody was teaching. I got screwed, and it never was my problem. Needless to say I had little sympathie for the profs. So I think involving the players in the FT situation is inapropriate as well because its really not their issue.

I agree, just dumb. Players don't need to be involved in what we do.

people are wrong if they think players will ever care about affiliates even if we bring up stuff that *might* be in there best interest. For the most part, i know most players (regs, grinders, experienced players) think we are scum. lol.

Whilst I agree that posting on 2+2 for support is a bad idea, I have to disagree that this change doesn't affect the players.

Consider the demographic of player at 2+2 -- they are typically more savvy, and are often rakeback players. This will have reaching affects on these types of players, and most certainly affects them.

If, as a serious player with rakeback playing at one of the large rakeback affiliates that contributes additional back in the way of rake races, this can in many cases mean a reduction of several $k per month in rake race benefits.

Nice, all that's done is make them hate us even more, and open a few other players eyes to something they knew nothing about in the first place and shouldn't know anything about anyway.

That 2+2 OP is on here, I believe he's somewhat new to the rakeback world and an idiot in my eyes for a completely different reason but I digress.

There's really no way this will end well, now a whole new bunch of players have negative feelings towards 'the greedy affs'. Good job
