Default How many words of content/day?

Hi - I have read in a blog of a poker affilate that he claims that it is possible to write 20 articles with 500 words each in one day. Another affiliate marketer suggested to write five articles with 500 words each day, which still amounts to 2,500 words/day.

I was wondering how many words the best of you can write in one day, assuming that it is high quality content where some excel tables, drawings or at least some web research is necessary.

Personally I think that 1,000 words in one day are feasible, and that writing 2,000 words/day during a week is already a very straining activity.

What is your "benchmark" or "target"?

2500 words per day is pretty reasonable. 10,000 words per day would be pretty tough though, I think. I'm not sure I could do more than 4000 words per day, and I'm not sure I could do that for long.

On the other hand, I have money in the bank. If I didn't, I might get motivated to do a lot of things.

Writing, like anything else, gets easier with practice.

I think that depends on what your writing about and how often you write something. Not just the research part of it.

For example someone who writes strategy may find it easy to ship 6 articles at 700 words or more a day based on their experience and /or if the topics are pretty much second nature - whereas someone who normally doesn't write strategy topics might struggle with one article a day or even one a week.

The same thing applies to people who write reviews and other topics within the same niche. For an affiliate who only writes occasionally, whipping out a pokerstars review may not seem like much of a task. But for people who write reviews/bonus kinda stuff daily, well they could push 5+ 1000 word articles a day but they still have difficulty in making the article different from the last, and coming up with new ways of describing something. Not just outsourced writers either - the people who write their own stuff daily, and continue to repeat the same cycles have similar problems.

So again I think the question depends on what you write and how often you write it * to answer your question Im at 3100 so far this morning but this will vary depending on topic and the day I'm having.

I always aim to write 4 articles every day which pretty much always comes out at more than 2,500 words. Some days I do write 5 but to be honest a mental block sets in around the end of the 4th article.

I reckon 4 per day is enough, it's 80 per month if you only work week days so you can build an 80 page website every month, I don't think that's too bad at all.

Once you write/create the articles where do you submit them to to help your search engine listings?

Agree that familiarity, motivation and practice are key... I have been though stages of 7k to 8k words a day but tend to get fed up after about a week - comfortable with 3k to 4k daily among all my other tasks, we now also buy articles and have them translated too which takes the pressure off somewhat.

Guess it all depends on what your skill set is and what other tasks you need to attend to daily.

I dont submit articles anywhere. I feel that if I'm going to spend the time writing, I don't want to put the article on a free site in hopes of helping my own (I'd rather give it to an affiliate for a link back if it wasn't going to my own). If your referring to how to get it indexed, I just link from other areas where it's appropriate to do so. It doesn't take very long for a new article to get indexed, even when using a static site.

    Unique and useful content....

whether on your own websites or submitted to article directories for backlinks is the key to traffic and making money online.

The online marketing formula in any niche is quite simple.

Good content and backlinks = many people reading your message + good monetization = money in your pocket.

Of course there is an infinite amount of variables.... but the successful formula is basic internet marketing.

I also struggled with content creation as we all do.

Here is my private favorites list of links that have helped me immensely in this area:

If you suck at writing like I do ..... borrow the foundations of the great content you find and change it to make it your own voice.

There are very few new ideas under the sun..... we're just putting our own unique spin on it.

So called article spinners are no magic bullet but they can help us to rewrite content faster and grow our traffic.

If you suck at typing like me ...... then speak your words into content.

Dragon can turn you into a content creating super machine wonce you get the hang of it..... I personally credit this software for at least 50% of my success. Your results may vary.

I'm surprised at you kaus .. submitting articles to top content directories such as Ezinearticles is great for high quality backlinks and branding you as an expert in your field and a kick in traffic. Although that's tough in the online gambling niche....... maybe branch out a bit? lol
