    Default Parked Domains

    (please move to appropriate thread)

    Hi

I have several domains that I will not be building for a few months with go daddy. I noticed they have a cash parking feature, is this worth it for $8 a month? (im assuming the domain will get hits, im asking about the go daddy deal) If not, are there better parking deals I can get (bearing in mind my domain is parked with godaddy)?

sedo.com is free and way better parking site. THe best site for parking is fabulous but you can only register there if you have 500+ domains

    Hi,

Yes you can park with Sedo wherever your domain is hosted. I am doing at at the moment exactly the same.

You would support me if you register with Sedo by clicking this link. Thank you

To register with them is free and I never had problems with them. You can also mark your domains as being for sale with very high minimum bids, so you might get bids and still consider to sell the domain if your project preferences change.

GoDaddy CashParking is terrible, even if it were free. The fact that they charge money for it is a travesty and no, it is not worth it in any way.

Sedo is alright but it wont pay well for poker traffic. For poker or gaming traffic you want to use Fabulous.com. Nobody pays anywhere close to what they will per click. Problem is you have to be accepted to use the program and they wont accept you unless you have a solid portfolio.

If you can't get in there, Sedo will be far, far better than GoDaddy.

I totally agree, except the "fabulous" thing. Sedo pays quite well for poker traffic for me.

My non poker related domains parked at godaddy made jack shit. They make something at Godaddy. There is a little secret for getting free cash parking. Buy the discount domain club membership. Cheaper than cash parking by itself and u get both cash parking + domain discount pricing.

I bought into the discount domain club last month, can't believe I waited - having hundreds of domains and largely .orgs I was autorenewing them at $14.85 each which is now $7something with the domain club.

Haven't tried the cash parking yet. Not sure it's worth it, I usually try to get one page up as fast as possible on any domain that might get any natural traffic.
