Default Anybody running their business on a Mac here?

I added an iMac to my desk last year and have been slowly moving the bulk of my production to it. One of the reasons for this is because i feel more productive on it, things seem to work smoother and some are even more fun to work with.

Just wondering if anyone else here is using Mac, PC or even both like me...

What programs do you run on your Mac?

    Mac-boy here.

I've got the usual Dreamweaver, Photoshop and a few text editing tools. iBank to keep a track of finances, iSkysoft for video and 1Password to keep everything secure.

    I do use a mac.

I like the terminal window more than I like cywin on windows.

There is always a program for mac, didn't find anything that cannot be done beside of testing the pokersites/casinos, I use vmware fussion for that.

Yes I run parallels for a PC bridge program as well, runs rather good.

The software I use most, I suppose woould be screenflow and keynote to make videos, but I also use skitch for grabbing images and Garageband for adding audio to videos.

I only own Mac products. iMac, MacBook, iPhone: those three devices run my life. On the iMac and MacBook I also run Windows (via BootCamp) because there are some programs that wont work (or work as well) on Mac, namely CakePoker, PartyPoker and HEM.

I use CyberDuck for uploading to FTP and Pixelmater as a cheap and easier version of Photoshop. I run Google Chrome in both Windows and Mac and highly recommend that browser to anybody - great for speed. My single complaint is that I wish the Alexa Toolbar worked with it.

Can't think of any other software that I use with Mac but as you said, the experience is so much more enjoyable. The biggest thing for me is not having to deal with tons of pop-ups and system messages and warnings constantly. I just power up and use the computer.

So far the only thing I really miss with my Mac is PokerStove, but I have parallels for that.

    Nice!

I am actually thinking of upgrading my RAM from 4G to 8G on my iMac. Any reccs as to where to buy the RAM and can a monkey do this, cause thats about all the skill I have when opening anything on a computer.?

A monkey cannot do that. It involves opening up your computer and messing with the components inside - something I myself would be unwilling to do for fear of fucking something up. That said, upgrading the RAM is probably the easiest thing to do that involves opening up your computer AFAIK. If you are good with that kind of thing there are probably YouTube tutorials that could walk you through it.
