Disclaimer:
If my post violates some rules of PAF I'm not aware of - please just delete this post. I'm not so sure about what your rules on "self-advertisment" are.
Normally, you might not know PokerStrategy.com as a super affiliate - and we normally are not. We do not even have a real affiliate backoffice.
But what we do is to offer all our customers a "refer a friend" program - we call it "Tell-A-Friend" (Invite Friends: Why refer people?). As we currently develop a cash-out option for Moneybookers (so far, customers can cash it out to PartyPoker or Titan Poker).
Why do I tell that to you now as we not yet have Moneybookers implemented?
The reason is our current promotion:
News: Earn $1,100 through TAF : Available until 30th April 2010
It adds one tier of payouts to our Tell-A-Friend programme.
Normal tiers are:
15 StrategyPoints - $10
100 SP - another $15
5,000 SP - another $75
Now the temporary fourth tier for all customers referred until April 30 is:
25,000 SP (earned until Dec 31 2010) - $1,000
An SP relates to 25c to 50c of Gross Rake, depending on the poker room:
PokerStrategy.com StrategyPoints - Collect points and be rewarded
The specialty: your players do not need to deposit their own money!
This fully works for our free bankroll players who get (after passing a quiz & ID check) a free $50 bankroll on a choice of poker rooms, including PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker, PartyPoker etc.
What does this effectively mean?
25,000 SP relate to $12,500 gross rake at Full Tilt or $6,250 gross rake at 888.com (examples). Thus, you get an effective share of up to 17.6% of gross rake and even half of that at Full Tilt.
I need not to mention that thus we make a loss on players reaching exactly 25k SP (as we are used to for many beginners, because if you just waste the $50, we make a loss as well).
On the other hand it's also clear that for players reaching more or less than 25k, the payment will be a lower share on gross rake.
But remember, it's for free bankroll players and that even for a player reaching 100 SP ($25 rake at bet365, 888 etc.; $50 rake at Full Tilt), our members get $25 ($10 for 15 SP, another $15 for 100 SP) - so in average, this should be significantly about the 3% at FTP (although a free bankroll player could also chose PartyPoker or bet365, of course).
Even though my posts gets spammy long: even for your rakeback stream, this might be a viable option. We have competitive rake races on nearly all relevant rooms, as you can see here:
The best poker bonuses, rakeback, rake races + Top250 promotion with monthly $100,000
(e.g. our $45k Rake Race at FTP is leveled only by RtR)
Free bankroll players are of course also elegible for all promotions, i.e. they get full rakeback at FTP, full access to rake races etc. - and on top of all that, they get our basic strength: the poker education. Whereas I have to admit that for English speaking traffic, this is not THAT spectacular due to coaching sites such as CardRunners - but in most of our 18 languages (incl. Russian, Japanese, Chinese, ...), this is clearly a very important factor and a unique value proposition to your traffic.
Best regards,
Lutz
PS: Again sorry if such a post is unappropriate - but I though that for some affiliates that sell their traffic to poker rooms / super affiliate, this might be an interesting alternative.
