Well that's just awesome. I think I'll write up a couple reviews for UB and AP and drop stars and tilt. Anyone got a guess on how much longer it will take for AP and UB to drop the ball too?

I thought the affiliate programs of these poker sites were here to help us.

The only reason affiliate programs exist is to make more money for the companies they work for. They want to get as much advertising and sales for their money as they can. They do this by calling us 'partners' and creating all these wonderful sales pages where they tell naive affiliates how hard they will work for you, how honest they are, that you will get 'lifetime earnings', and all sorts of other bullshit.

Affiliate programs are marketing programs. They are no different from a McDonalds commercial telling you that a Big Mac is the best hamburger in the world. No different from Walmart trying to show how much they care about the community and the people that live there by hiring 85 year olds for minimum wage to sit there and mumble 'Welcome to Walmart' when you walk in the door. That old person is part of their marketing program. Walmart doesn't really give a shit about you, senior citizens or anything else except making money.

From now on, any time you walk into Walmart and see that old person, realize that he/she is there simply because Walmart thinks you're stupid enough not to see through their subliminal marketing program. Also realize that this old person is being taken advantage of. They are not done any favors by Walmart paying them crap wages. Walmart is not 'giving' those old people anything. Those old people are making Walmart more money from all the idiots who think Walmart must be warm and fuzzy for giving these worthless jobs to old people who are broke and need the money for their meds. Walmart has destroyed hundreds of thousands of small businesses in the US and worldwide, putting that old dude out of work to begin with. Now he makes shit wages instead of decent wages.

It is about money. Everything is about money. Every fucking thing inside your home was purchased by a company that had ONE goal in mind, to make money. The world is not as warm and fuzzy as most people think it is. People who believe this are the ones who've bought into the marketing programs hook, line & sinker.

Everyone (hopefully) has a few friends & family members who are not out for their money. Outside of that group, the rest only want your cash.

I know this guys. It was a quote from the YouTube clip. The point is I thought affiliate programs would want to help us help them. They may think they have analyzed the cost of pissing us all off but it's still short sighted. They right now have thousands of SEO marketers working for them with no up front pay.

Some do want to help us help them. There are def some good AM's and programs out there, but that doesn't mean we should trust any of them. You might have the best AM at a room right now, a guy who goes way out of his way to help you. Tomorrow he could be fired by execs and replaced by a moron. Or tomorrow the execs could decide to cut the program commissions. So you might get that warm & fuzzy feeling about a room because your AM is good, but do you know what the owners will do tomorrow?

We have to become as diversified as possible so we can throw away rooms like they throw away affiliates. Until you have multiple sources bringing in enough money to pay your bills, you are at risk.

When tilt cut their rakeback rates, i dropped them from my rakeback sites. Now they've cut their cpa value, i'll drop their cpa's as well. If they mess with the rev share, i'll drop them altogether like i have with stars. If we all done the same thing, they'd stop fu*king about.

This was always going to happen with FTP, as it did with Stars.

Not all programs treat their affiliates with such disdain, and if any of you are interested in working with someone closely, then drop me a line and consider Playersonly and Sportsbook Poker Rooms.

This will not happen with us. We appreciate and work with affiliates, and will continue to do so. Just ask those that work with us now, as most of the largest affiliates already do.

Unlike Jesus, some thread should not be resuscitated.
