Default Identifying With Your Poker Site In The USA

Can i get some suggestions / tips about the dangers of including my real identity within the about section of a website as an affiliate living in the USA?

I would like to give my site which i've been expanding alot in a test environment a personal feel...

and let interested visitors know that it is setup by one player, and include info about personally contacting me@mysite.com rather than a general info@mysite.com

i don't necessarily want to include my last name but maybe my first name, a player handle, and a small self portrait.

Generally, you have to use your real identity....

Here are my thoughts on the matter:

Putting a real person behind the site is a great way to build trust and loyalty. I have some players who have kept in contact with me for a year or more and I have watched them turn from total noobs into professionals. It's an awesome feeling.

If you check the about me section in my strategy site (check footer link), you'll see that I come across on a personal level without revealing too much information about my identity. That's the route I would suggest. A simple first name is fine. Let people know you're a real person. I break a lot of grammar rules that we learned in school ("Never use 'I' in writing!") but I come across as a normal guy who knows shit. At least I try to...

It's not that I'm worried about any legal ramifications (there's no law against marketing poker) but I just don't want my name, address and phone number to be plastered everywhere. I'm sure someone dedicated enough could eventually find that info but I'm not going to go out of my way to give up all that info.
Even if you fall on your face, you're still moving forward.

I personally like to use my first name for the email. It lets your players seem to get to know you over time.

You have to take spamming into consideration when providing your identity. Facebook, e-mails, marketers and spammers are more aggresive then ever. I am sure some of the senior members will confirm this.
