Default sites referring player questions to their affilaites

Every now and then I get an email from someone that says something like:

"I have an account at UB and they told me I signed up under you. Can you offer me rakeback?" or "Can I be removed from your tracking?"

Since the terms of the affiliate agreements are drawn up by the sites themselves (this point is made very clear when the sites decide to change the terms), I don't think it is fair when sites refer players to the affiliate to answer questions regarding the agreement. We shouldn't have to act as support.

Not only is it putting affilaites in a bad position, but some affiliates use their personal email (instead of their site email) as their contact email on their affiliate account, in case they have issues with their hosting. I think giving away personal information to parties that don't require it is a violation of affilaite's privacy.

    Agree or disagree?

I think its great that they actually gives the players a chance to get rakeback, and i think you would be stupid not to say yes!
But i would make more sence if the affiliate program contacted you and asked.

and what if you are not on revshare? Support is giving out contact information for CPA affiliates and telling the player that its the affiliate that can give them rakeback....good way to end up with a pissed off customer when everyone seems to be passing the buck.

Anyone cardroom that gives your email address to anyone is a rogue who you shouldn't do business with.

Poker rooms should not be giving out their advertisers email address to their players.

I've had my doylesroom AM tell me a player tracked to me asked to go on rakeback. She asked me if I would allow it. I said sure! That's the way a good poker room should handle this situation.

Yea, but it's easier to say, "Uhh, here's an email, you deal with it."
