Fight Over Domain Names

This article had me rolling on the floor laughing, these guys are fighting over owning a trademark to something that APPLE obviously owns the trademark over.

Funniest thing I've seen in a long time, all these guys are going to do is invite Apple to bring the hammer down on them both.

When I read the article I was thinking that this is great linkbait or a great way to draw attention to your sites and get apple involved.

Another PAL member (nameless) quoted to me "this is the equivalent of pokerstarsmarketingcode.com suing pokerstarsmarketingcodes.com".

I really hope this is a marketing stunt. Someone surely submitted the story to the Las Vegas Sun, which if it is real, I don't see the point in publicizing it. I don't see anything positive coming out of this by litigating against eachother.

I agree with TonyS as well. One C&D letter to both sites from Apple and they will not be fighting a battle against eachother, but instead against a multi-billion dollar organization willing to probably outspend both of them combined.

Agreed. Now the big question is how many other incidents on that top 10 list was Dan involved with? I can think of two other ones, but I'm probably forgetting some others.

It's kind of doubly idiotic as the plaintiff can't claim rights to "mac" or to "poker".

Apple owns the right to one word and no one can own the other.
