The Venetian being close to everything can be quite deceiving though. Me and Aidan stayed in Venezia (sp?) tower and serious it was like 15 minutes from our room to an entrance and another 5 minute walk from there to Harrahs. This involved taking 2 elevators. It also wasn't even close to anything else in Venetian it's horrible. I remember google searching this while staying here and others saying omgwtf on videos they made on youtube to show how ridiculously far the walks were. I'm not even joking I would of preferred to stay at Golden Nugget downtown and cab to the strip then have to go through that again. Problem was it was Nascar in vegas weekend and there was a mega conference as well so rooms were all booked and we couldn't get moved.
Guess it depends what you guy are into. For me Harrah's is perfect for location and the rooms are almost always comped. For driving and taxis there is easy access to Koval which can be taken to reach many other properties yet not much traffic. Very easy walk to Mirage, Venetian, Caesars and Bellagio. Yet when staying at and of those four properties themseleves the walk is not as convenient. Rooms of course are not in the same league, but are fine.
