Foreigners are not allowed to buy property in Cuba. I looked into it :-) I guess you could buy in a Cubans name and rent it out and wait and see..

Just put in a savings account, will save yourself some tilting when your stock/metal goes down and if it was a sure thing everybody would be buying it right?

A savings account is far from risk free. It is actually risk guaranteed. Inflation will destroy the value of your money.
