The Gold and Silver standard protected the value of the dollar. Also I mentioned the value of a dollar is a credit base. You cannot dispute these facts and yet have been able to disprove them.

The silver standard was ridiculously temporary. I have not had one professor who even argued that the silver standard should be restored. The GOLD STANDARD is what paper currency was built around, the silver standard was a very brief replacement.

To say that you should revert to the silver standard (as opposed to the gold standard), is like saying Major League Baseball should revert to replacement players during the strike instead of Ted Williams.
