Potential Investment

I'm going to need to lock up about the equivalent of $12,000 USD for 3 months + a few days.

This is for securing a visa for 15 months. I think I can manage to do this on my own (certainly can next time around) but cash is tight right now.

To be clear: no plans to touch the cash at all. It just needs to sit in a thai bank account in my name only for the three months. I'd be making the deposit December 31.

If anyone would like to make some cash on a 100 day note (giving 10 extra days, in case delays with getting visa for some reason) feel free to PM me an offer. It might be worth it for me to pay interest and not worry about having my own cash tied up for that period. Also having it tied up likely means an extra 3 months I wait about buying a car and making some investments into my business.

So anyways not a sure thing. just curious if there is anyone out there that would be interested and what you'd charge to do this for me. I have websites, domains, etc. that could be used as collateral. I don't manage any of my own payments for this so perhaps my business partner could sign a second guarantee that if I die b4 the 100 days (cuz that's the only reason this deal goes bad) that he can cover the payback out of my affiliate pay or something like that.

Be careful with this one. If you transfer over more than $10,000 USD the Bank of Thailand will hold it up and ask that you explain who, what, why, when, and where about the money. I got this tip directly from my landlord who used to be a colonel in the Thai anti-money laundering division of the police. Make sure you leave enough time to do your explaining :-)

Of all places in the world, for investment purpose, they are safer places, especially as foreigners cannot buy land and the prime minister is exiled once in a blue moon. But they certainly have nice food, nice beaches and last but not least, nice ladies.

The investment not too much to do with Thailand other than the reasons for needing the cash and where that cash is stored. If something happened would cover it myself (am capable).

Im sure lots of people come across this thread by accident and think you are just some nigerian scam artist. Thanks for feedback guys. I've done so many deals here sometimes I'm surprised no response to certain things this being one of them.

Anyways this is no longer needed. I didn't realize the embassy doesn't ask for documentation and while here in bkk i got this taken care of the other way (monthly income statement registered with embassy and ministry of foreign affairs) which is great because I no longer need to tie up any cash.
