A couple of French-Canadian restaurants around here and an ice cream place that sells poutine. People from Quebec tend to gather in SoFla.

Definitely some MAJOR deals going on in Orlando right now. A serious glut in houses/timeshares/condos/ condo conversions, etc. Much better deals to be found in Orlando. I was there last week and they are promoting them big time.

I like Orlando, lots of turnkey properties, low hassle, and amenities to choose from. Smart choice.

We have a 7 year old and go to Disney twice a year now ,I love it just as much as she does.Yes I know these have fallen at least 50% in last 18 months.Only drawback is the monthly fees on these resorts is $800 or so a month But hanging in the lazy river every day is a fun idea. And all these are NEW and fully furnished ,housekeeping service too!

I'm personally waiting another 12-18 months before I buy... even if were close to the bottom now, prices are not going to be going up any time soon!

What do you mean the forex factor? Saying the other currencies are rising compared to the federal reserve note? (no shocker there, oooof)

also - i think this coming winter will be great time to purchase... I might jump in then as well.

I suspect she's talking about the buying power of our Canadian dollar in the US. Not surprisingly, in the past few months our dollar has gained a lot of value against the USD.

Sucks though when we're receiving paychecks in USD...the exchange rate used to increase our paydays by 10-50%, now it's basically on par. Bah.
