    Default About the UIGEA

I know this has been discussed a lot, but I'm new in this business and to be honest I'm a bit afraid of getting into trouble.

I've been reading about the UIGEA and I want to travel to the US in october (I'm from Argentina). Am I going to have any trouble for promoting poker sites? Does the UIGEA focus only in US CITIZENS or any citizen in the world?

Sorry the ignorance and thanks in advance!

    Fostin.

I'd be quite surprised if there are many US affiliate here scared of UIGEA. As a visitor to the US so long as you don't offer the immigration officer a rakeback deal on your way across the border you should be all set. If he does ask for a rakeback deal then be on your toes, perhaps ask his screen name at a major site and his 2+2 user name tell him you're busy at the moment and will PM him.

Serious anytime you're visiting a country you always want to avoid talking about anything that might be illegal there even if everyone that is from there does this. In the US though talking about online gambling is probably the least thing you need to worry about. I even told my probaition officer back in the day when asked what I did for a living (After being convicted on conspiracy charges related to "Facilitating Illegal Sports Betting") that I marketed online casino for European licensed companies (a stretch but i convinced her it was legal) when in fact I was setting up past customers with offshore phone accounts lol. To be on safe side though i would just simply not mention it. If you don't i serious doubt anyone is looking for you or would care otherwise.
If you're going to bet US Sports online - I strongly suggest 5Dimes.com or Bookmaker.eu.

Some succeed because they are destined to, but most succeed because they are determined to.
