    Default How do you deal with a company like this?

    The history: I believe 2 weeks ago I found a post on digital points forum offering logos and banners for $1. I contacted the user and asked if they'd consider making my logo and said

    "Hi, I recently ordered a logo and header. The logo needs to replace the current one at Poker Strategy Forum | Poker Community as well as http://thepokerdreamnet.rakebackengine.com/img/logo.png. What I'm looking for is Image - TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting. This is the logo idea we had, except it needs to look alot more proffessional. For further ideas, you can google full tilt poker avatars.

    For the banner it needs to have the words ThePokerDream along with the logo. Colors should compliment the websites. Please do note that the logo will be used for t-shirts later on.

    As for the logo, the picture I showed you was created by one of my partners as an example of what were looking for. The greyed person should be more detailed and look more human like. Thanks for your time."

    No problem everythign went well. Now the first part that shocked me. I'm on my labtop, (can't post the convo right now will do when I get on my labtop_ and now apparently there are different ppl on skype. So I said I've sent the money what do I do now? This was Feb 27th.

    That's great, now fastfoward to 3 days sago. Finally a logo! Guess what it's nothing I asked for. If the logo was mine I'd upload it but I have it in my email as proof. Basically they gave me my website name with some poker chips and cards. I asked for a fucking avatar even PROVIDED an example.

    Replied nicely by sendign the first email and said this is what i'm lookign for please try again. (yes they just wasted my revision by doing this).

    K that's fine, I contacted the skype person to let them know, and guess what, I'm not even compensated for the mistake, so the revision really IS one of my revisions.

    Its a simple case of you get what you pay for and digital point is full of shit like this. Best to ask someone like Eduardo on here IMO, costs are higher but you'll be much happier.

    As others have mentioned, these things happen with dodgy designers that you're not familiar with. I'd chalk it up as a $35 lesson and spend your time on more productive things for now.

    Having said that, for $35 you could run a contest a good contest at digital point. You should check them out. They are one of the very few good things to come from those forums.

    It's way past the time where you need to be worrying about this order, get your money back if you can, if not pound on them at the forums they solicit business at, and next time be more diligent in checking out design companies before you ship money to them
