Default Moving up a tier in the revshare structure

Hello, I'm new to affiliating so sorry if this is a noob question. It's about Betfair's structure. I was always in Tier 1 poker - 25% which is from 1 pound to 5k pounds. This month I made more than that, but was awared the 30% Tier 2 reward just for the incremental amount over 5k pounds. Is this standard? I thought the whole amount would be now at 30%.

    From their site:

    Example

If your referred players generate net revenues of £6,000 for Poker and £2,800 for Sports you will earn a 30% revenue share for Poker and 25% for Sports.

    Total Commission

    Poker Level 2 (£6,000 x 30%) + Sports Level 1(£2,800 x 25%) = £2,500

    Whereas their calc was example 5000p x 25% + 1000p x 30%...

    Contradictory. Thanks for your help.

anyone? just trying to figure out what's the standard in the industry.

    If they say 0-5000 - 25%
    5000-10000 - 30%

    and u make 6000, is it 5000 x .25 + 1000 x .3 or is it 6000 x .3?

Would appreciate if someone can help out, thx.

I would say yes, you should get 1550 pounds. At least Full Tilt handles it the same way (with lower percentages, of course, and with some nice deductions, of course)

There is NO standard. Tiered levels can legitimately work any way - both methods can accurately by described as tiered.

FullTilt calculates each set of earnings at each level, Bodog calculated aLL earnings at the high level.
Both are valid if they clearly layout how it's done.

If the program provides a working example as to how THEY calculate it - then that's the process for THAT program.
