    Default My site went bye bye from search

    I've been having fun building this called PokerWorldRatings.com and everything was all fine and dandy and then boom, it dropped right off the searches. Im using Multi Site Wordpress. I tried to install a login system and then got all the http errors in the google webmaster so I got rid of it but they never went away. Can someone with brain power look over my site and tell me why it sucks at life? Or is there a way to get google to pay attention to my fixes?

    Looking at your code, you have actually set it so the bots will not index your site.

    I'm guessing you are using Wordpress? Go to Settings/Privacy and tick "I would like my site to be visible to everyone, including search engines (like Google, Bing, Technorati) and archivers".

    <meta name="robots" content="noindex,follow,noodp,noarchive,noydir" />

    I still haven't resolved this issue. I would love someone in the know to help me figure this out.

    Get rid of the SEO plugin. In fact, strip the site down to NO plugins except Akismet. Then see if you can publish the site and achieve visibility. If not, there is a problem with the theme.

    When you're not sure of what went wrong with a site design, you have to reset to the very bare bones version and build out again one step at a time.

    Michael is always so against that SEO plugin but I know I and many others love it. I can guarantee you that many very successful affiliates and sites use the SEO plugin with regularity.
