Default I'm looking to set up a FB page. Lots of options

Want to set up a FB page for my new poker site. Any advice? Let me say that the recent blog post here on optimizing for FB is a bit over my head.

I see different types of FB buttons, LIKE, FAN, LOGIN, which should I use?

Also; I assume I would set that FB page up as a business since I don't see a option for setting up a page for a web site. Is this correct?

    Thanks in advance

Here's my understanding of Facebook fan pages.

When creating a Facebook fan page, choose the category that best fits your company, website, or product. I'm not sure if I chose the correct option, but I did Band/product, then selected website.

The Facebook like button seems to be the only one that counts, and the more likes you get, the more authority your page will have.

After that, I think its just a matter of making posts and getting likes. Hope that helps

+1, Depending on the contents of your website I would also suggest not spending too much time on a fan page besides setting it up, filling it with some information and perhaps the occasional message. If you have a community driven webpage you might want to look into it further.

Just a couple quick notes of advice.
Start a Fan Page not a Group. Groups are limited to 5000 people.
When you name your Fan Page. Don't make the mistake of making it all one word like "thiswebsite.com" Use "This Website"
If you make it one word your page won't show up in a search. People won't be able to find you unless they use the entire website name.
    Good luck !

It is nice idea to set a FB page in your site but it is not too easy to create and code behind it. If you want to add the all facility which is in FB than it is too large. But you can also make it. Try it in ASP.Net, it will looking very easy because you have no waste time in designing. User can create only one ID and access both a/c FB and your site.
