Help a novice market to countries outside the USA

so it seems buy a .ca, .uk, etc domain, host in targeted country, geotarget in google webmaster, and get links from the targeted countries. Thanks for the advice.

Google will automatically geo target the domain for you if the country extension is proper, .ca, .uk, .de etc. It's a waste of time anyways because it only does anything if people click 'show pages from (country), which people just dont do in gaming.

Just having a country specific domain and having your server in that location will give you google.whatever rankings.

The only thing I'd add to the conversation is keywords and "local social" (using country/city references in relevant social media marketing updates)
