    Default Wordpress & Vbulletin

If I understand correctly, wordpress is a blog? And if so, what is the best way to get that set up?

Also, I really like Vbulletin's forums. I've noticed that you can download those for free... Is that a good idea or anything I should know prior?

VBulletin's not free I'm afraid. There are free alternatives out there, but as with most things you're going to need to pay if you want the best software.

WP is free though and pretty easy to set up - if you've got Fantastico set up on your hosting package then you can install it through that. That's going to be the easiest way and it will ensure you get the latest version.

I'm currently using godaddy for everything...they have a blog package but I'm not sure I'm impressed with it... As far as the vbulletin, maybe it's the skins that are free? Here is a link... Free VBulletin Templates, Themes and Styles - themesBase.com Now if I'm right, skins are just the graphics then? You still have to do the backend?

You still have to buy the backend yes. It's somewhere between $100-$200 a yr I can't remember. Honestly though, its well worth it, Vbulletin is for sure industry standard for forums nowadays.

I really would not worry about this until you can get some traffic. I would focus on the main domain to your site and figuring out how to make it successful. Don't put all of your work into the part of the site that doesn't make money.

Thats true....I'm not even buying it until I've made money of my sights to do so. Trying to make my sites self sustaining like a small business.
