Default Trying to monetise some social media

    Hi all,

I have an old social media account with around 3k active UK gamblers as 'friends'. I've done nothing with it for about 5 years (!!!) but I am finally ready to try and monetise it somewhat. Pretty much everyone on it is still active. Mostly low level players.

I'm thinking I just sign up for a couple of poker, casino and maybe sports betting affiliate programs, and then just do some content type post with some links in them. Content not an issue for me (am a content marketing manager in real life).

What does everyone think? Should I even bother?

    Thanks

As you can see from my old signature I was once an affiliate manager! I cannot see how to change that. Funny throwback

It seems a waste not to do something with those 3k contacts, though. You may be better at it than many — I think it may depend on that content. What sort of content were you planning on putting up?

I would definitely try to monetize it. I think you might be better off going with gray market operators though. I feel like UK punters, specially those that have been around for a while, are already signed up to every damned site on the block. And since UK is regulated and choices are slim... I'd probably go gray market to expose the group to rooms they had never heard of before or didn't realize would still take their business.

If you got the time, facebook groups work pretty well. But if you start a poker group, you won't be able to compete with mine lol

    Question

1tipz1: How did this turn out for you? Did you try to convert these punters somehow?
