Default Recording your desktop on a Mac

    Afternoon all,

I wasn't quite sure where to post this, so apologies if this is in the wrong section.

I'm looking for some software that will record what I'm doing on the desktop. I'm sure you know what I've mean. It's so that I can record tutorials on how to use various pieces of software.

I'm up for any software recommendations but especially those which are Mac compatible!

    Cheers,

There's this: Danicsoft - Copernicus, but it doesn't record sound. Free too.

I guess camtasia is always a popular option, but that's not cheap.

Jing and Skitch are the best Mac apps I've found, but we've done all of our video stuff on camtasia on the PC since it's just the best program out there for that.

A friend told me that Screenflow is the Mac equivalent of Camtasia, but I haven't tried it yet.

Second that, heard screenflow is the best out. Never used it because never needed to. Price is about $100.

But yea, not related to creating movies skitch and gimp are also must haves!
