    Default Site Review

I have started a new website and would appreciate comments and suggestions from the community. It has been up for about two months with content being added 3-5 times a week.

    Online Poker Mods

I'm getting decent traffic but no conversions...

Any help with ad placement and "action" calls would be greatly appreciated.

I think you should rethink the theme of the site. People looking for AHK scripts and table mods are already pretty well settled at the site they play at, so you should focus on what could be sold to these people.

I don't think you will ever get anybody to sign up for rakeback. If I have gotten to the point where I am looking for scripts and mods for FTP, I'm not interested in rakeback on other sites, and I already have it on FTP.

    ---------

I would replace the whole list of rakeback sites with a custom banner that promote Cardrunners and say something about them making videos from FTP and how it is beneficial to watch videos made on the same site that you play at.

I would write some stuff about FTP table mods - I haven't checked if there are anybody searching for it, but your domain is good for something like that.

I would also change the front page, so it has a list of AHK scripts/table mods.

Remove "FullTiltMods.com" from your title tags or replace it with "Full Tilt Mods.com" if you really want to have it there.

Pretty much agree with UW here... you have a very specific audience who are already established - tools / training sites could well be a better idea than rakeback at other sites (unless you focused on one specific offer that FTP players might be interested in crossing to - cake / merge maybe?- though you'd need to sell the idea rather than just listing it...).

Maybe you could profile your 'ideal visitor' and work backwards from their needs / aspirations to get to some offers that fit.

btw - you seem to have links reading AHK Script pointing to your rakeback sub-directory which appears odd... I'd also nofollow the outbound links to sites / tools etc, but this is personal preference.

Best of luck with the site.

I did not see an affiliate program on their website, but I sent an email to support asking about it. Thanks for the suggestion.

Im starting to get some data about my visitors which does suggest "training" is something they are looking for.

The link "AHK Script" would be better if I write an article about it and link to it?

    Thanks for the suggestion.

    Man, that theme is popular.

Anyway your homepage is way too busy with no focus. It looks like you've put "conversions" over "making a great site for my visitors". It's a site about Full Tilt mods, and your main navigation bar at the top lists "Rakeback" and "SNG Wizard". Even your main header has a rakeback advertisement into it.

Go back to square one. Make your ultimate goal to provide the most and best Full Tilt mods for your visitors - that's what your site should be about right? This stuff isn't hard. The site is about Full Tilt mods, so make that your sole focus at least in the beginning. Don't concern yourself with conversions - concern yourself with being a site that people interested in Full Tilt mods should visit. Promote the newsletter/mailing list/RSS feeds strongly, and get people subscribed so you can keep them updated and promote to them more in the future.

I'd also ditch that design. Feels way too "bloggy" for this type of site.

Thanks for the comments Dealer Dan.

I'll be working out some of these things over the weekend. And I get what your saying, "I should be shooting with a rifle, not a shotgun..."

Also, can anyone suggest a person/company who provides solid themes. If not, I will just make one based on another but that could take a while...
