Any domain name is only worth what is attached to it.
Poker Pages
Poker News
Poker Affilate Listings
All are worth a lot of money because they have thousands of pages of content and a huge loyal following.
holdemhub.com is worth about 10 bucks
Yeah, not worth anything more than registration fees. Little SEO value, and really nothing special about the brand name either.

damn
Dave nailed it.
If owning the domain will motivate you to develop a quality site that you wouldn't otherwise (be able to) create, it is easily worth paying a couple of hundred dollars for.
My blog www.unknownwebmaster.com | New posts on Poker affiliate blogs | Webmaster tools I use every day.
pokernews as a generic domain is probably worth alot.
While I agree you over paid, don't let it get you down - develop it as if it was a domain worth $x,xxx and you'll make as much money anyways, if you are focused AND can wait months for the money to come.
Good luck.

I think it's a very nice domain name and one that can easily draw alot of traffic if it's developed well.
Buying all kinds of sites - poker/casino/sports/non gaming. Large budget. PM me with what you've got.
Yeah I'm not saying don't develop the site, it's just not a special domain.

Probably what Dave said is correct, but I think it is a good name and easy to remember. But you need to create the content around it for players to visit your site so that they can remember it.
So I guess it calls for some more investment in time - XXX days of your time.
All the best!
