BeatNoLimit Review - Turning Point

Hi all,

I've had BeatNoLimit forever but only recently have been adding lots of new content. It has about 130 pages and gets about 2,000 visitors per month but I don't think it's making enough money. I'm really motivated to add new content and plan to add a few hundred pages as quickly as possible.

A lot of my visitors come in through strategy related keywords, which is cool but they aren't great for getting new signups. In an effort to turn things, I've been adding more basic things such as pages discussing bonus codes, overviews of specific tournaments, "best sites for XXX" and things like that.

If you suddenly took control of BeatNoLimit.com and wanted to make more money with it, what would you do next?

Give it out for free to people that join say site A deposit and play x hands to clear the lovely CPA deal you got with em.

I own several sites like yours that focus on "non-money" terms but I do pretty good. I know of a few guys that own high quality, content driven sites that struggle with earnings. I was in that category a while back as well. It just seemed like focusing on terms that most affiliates half heartily target (strategy terms..ect) was a waste of time but I tried some new marketing tactics and my revenue went through the roof. I'll send you a pm in a bit. Don't let it get you down though...quality always pays off in the end. A site like yours making $500/month (randomly picked a number) is always worth more than a 10 page, blackhat "bonus code" type site making $1,000/month.

I think you are way to good at writing about poker to start a spammy bonus code site (no offense to anyone running those sites).

I would start by looking at what the front page is ranking for and what people do when they arrive on it. If there isn't a huge amount of clicks on that big grid of "Top Online Poker Sites" I would replace it with links to articles about strategy and some good information about how to get the best value out of bonuses or rakeback. I suspect you are trying to sell your visitors something they don't want.

I would begin advertising for DeucesCracked at the bottom of the strategy articles. Basically adding something like this "if you liked this article, you can get more information about the topic in this video series at DeucesCracked - Get a free 7 day free trial".

Depending on the exact terms that are sending you traffic I may change the focus from bonuses to rakeback.

Possibly remove the "Top Bonuses" links from the site wide navigation. Replace it with links to articles about how to determine the value of a poker bonus or something like that. Your site is well suited for a "teaching role", so I think you should teach people stuff about bonuses or rakeback, and then give them links to places where they can get those things.

Thanks a ton for the responses everyone. I'm strongly considering going to rakeback route with BeatNoLimit. It sounds limiting but if that's what it takes, I'm willing to give it a shot.

The e-book for CPA deal is a good idea too. I'll have to e-mail some AM's and see what they think about that.

Training site affiliate programs was yet another great idea. I'm going to give that a shot.

I noticed you have some call to actions at the bottom of your strategy pages. That's a great idea, but perhaps you can jazz it up a bit with a top 3 places to try this strategy on or something like that?
