    Default ezine articles

Whats the optimum length of an ezine article? I have an article to submit thats about 1200 words long but looks like most are 300-500 words. Or maybe it doesnt even matter since its more about building backlinks than the actual content? (not that I dont think it is good content)

You'd be much better posting a 1200 word article on your own site! Just write another one quickly for ezine that is about 300 words.

The better the article is that you submit to ezinearticles.com, the more likely it is to rank in Google. Which means you'll get referral traffic from the article itself. Also, the better the article, the more likely it is to actually be syndicated across other sites. Length doesn't always equal quality, but don't halfass an article for ezinearticles just because you're not putting it on your site. If you're writing anything for the web, give it everything you've got. It's all part of your SEO and website strategy, so treat it with respect.

As a side note - are ezine still accepting submissions which link to gambling sites? I've heard a lot of people saying they have had articles rejected because they link to gambling sites recently.

Edit: The reason I suggested writing a smaller article for ezine is they get much better click thrus than longer articles - from my experience.

I've still got a few up there which haven't been removed.

One is currently pending, so I guess we'll find out if their stance has changed. I'll let you know ...

Thanks, what I'll do is post the article on my site, but shorten it for ezines without compromising the quality or content of the article.

oh and another question - are there any issues surrounding submitting the same article to different article directories? A few that I have heard about are buzzle.com, goarticles.com, articlesfactory.com...
Are there any other that are recommended?

    Thanks
