Default What's an average conversion rate for Poker Affiliate Websites?

Can anyone tell me what an average conversion rate is for poker affiliate websites. I know it is dependant on a lot of factors, but is there some sort of industry target to aim for?

If you feel this is unanswerable, can you just let me know what your rate is for any of your sites?

    Thanks

"I know it is dependant on a lot of factors"
    That's it.
Nobody can tell you unless you compare some equal sites. I guess bonus code sites for the same poker room may be comparable or rakeback sites with same promotions and offers through PAS for example.
At one page I have 10 % and 0,1 % for another one. You know what difference that is...

    What a silly answer.

There's no context for comparison or rakeback site juxtaposition. It's a simple question which you managed to answer in your last paragraph

We're all in the same business, and there are common stats which i'd like to be educated on as I'm new and not sure what conversion rate i should be looking for to judge my sites quality

Ok, thanks. Try to find out yourself. Good luck.
If you think you will find a better answer than "it depends on a lot of factors" you gonna wait for a long time. Improve your site instead and try to maximize your conversion rate. That's all you can do.

From two different sites I work on that earn money:

    Strategy focused site: 250:1 PMP
Bonus code site : 25:1 PMP

This is a visitors : PMP ratio. If you go with roughly 25% of PMPs convert to RMPs you get:

    Strategy focused site: 1,000:1 RMP
Bonus code site : 100:1 RMP

As you can see, there's a seizable range here and it could be a lot bigger too. I really think that aspiring to hit some sort of standard benchmark (that I've yet to encounter) for conversions is only going to prove to be a frustration over the long run.

So yeah, the famous saying we all love really is "it depends". At least you now know that you probably have some potential room for improvement if you're getting 1 RMP /10,000 visitors on a strategy website though.

Before you stress too much over conversion rates I would focus your energy in to building a sizeable volume of traffic to your site first. Labouring too much over conversion rates early on is only likely to distract you from the real meat and potatoes of building a profitable website, which is building content and traffic.

I'd rather have a site that gets 10,000 visitors a month with a conversion rate of 1% than a site that gets 1,000 visitors a month with a conversion rate of 10%.

PMP = Play money players - players that sign up but do not play for real money.
RMP = Real money players - players that sign up and play for real money.

An RMP is not necessarily a "conversion" for a CPA deal though. If you have a CPA deal these RMPs will need to rake a certain amount of money or collect a set number of points before your CPA is released.

A "conversion rate" is a bit of a hazy term unless you're specific about what you visitors/players are converting from and into.
