First of all, have you checked where your traffic is from? If most of your visitors are from USA you obviously cant convert them to site that doesn't accept USA players.
Secondly, people these days tend to have something called "banner-blindness" their mind ignores the banners, especially if they are placed out side the content. If you want to use banners test them inside the content.
Third thing is that your content seems to miss calls to action, for an example when you are writing about fishes at Betfair poker you might want to throw in text link such as: Open Betfair account and test yourself how soft the games are.
thx for the input.
Had a quick look at your site... here are a few random thoughts - all meant constructively.
- Syndicated Content... Nothing wrong with this in moderation, but this content will be difficult to rank for (since others have it too and the 'original' is most often the one which ranks). It is also not the best quality from the examples I saw. Suggest getting yourself some original and high quality content as a starting point - plenty of writers here at PAL can create this for you.
- Who are your visitors? What do they search for? What do their search terms say about their experience level? Lots of questions, but important ones... you are listing a wide variety of strategy pieces - but is this really what your vistors are expecting / or need? If they are 'gamblers' coming from your betting sections then how about an overview of online poker / how it works / how to get started clearing some bonuses today... linked right there at the top of the page.
- If you are getting people who know poker want to improve their game then some solid strategy is required you can then highlight sites at the end of the articles which fit with the material you are offering. Those players might be rakeback-aware already which needs to be considered when offering bonuses.
- Guess what it boils down to for me is organizing your material so that your visitors can find what they are looking for - identify the main landing pages and tell your visitors what options they have right there based on your assessment of their experience levels / and needs... then add some value specifically for them!
Best of luck with it!

Two things about the banner, i like it if its "custom made" i do not like the regular ones.
And people need to change their class/ID names, do not use names as banner or ad etc, this will be blocked by plugins like adblock plus etc.
That might be why people "ignore" the banners.

I like trying to replace banners with custom calls to action. Usually just something big and bold that gets the person to click. 10 minutes of playing with generic shapes and fonts etc in photoshop can yield something useful usually. You can also place a custom call to action much more effectively without it looking like spam. If your banners are front and center, you might look like a donkey. Something custom and smooth, made to go with your template can be put right in the premier eye placement zone where it belongs.

I am promoting mainly ebooks from clickbank and many are just not that high quality. I review them and try to write original content. Is there another site similar to clickbank that offers affiliate-related poker products that I may be able to review?Syndicated Content...
We are trying to convert sports/horse/traders/gamblers into poker. I've written a few beginner articles such as hand selection and bonus hunting but they arent being ranked very highly. Overview is good but it might just be quite repetitive of what you would find on other sites. I've tried to make my niche the Betfair Fish/Shark lists and thats ok but that only really attracts good established players who already have accounts everywhere and wont bother with beginner tutorial e-books. I'm at a bit of a loss. Are there any sites out there that do sports betting/horse trading and poker related promotions?Who are your visitors? What do they search for? What do their search terms say about their experience level? Keywords that rank highly are betfair, poker tutorials, betfair fish list.
Do any of you think that it isnt organised very well and content is difficult to locate?
Thanks for input regarding banners, I will speak to the webmaster.
