Default Additional money for sign up?

    Hi guys,

i start promote some poker rooms with a rev/share deal. My questions is can i give the player who use my bonuscode additional money? I mean can i give them 100$ if they play the full bonus amount? Or is that forbidden by the pokerroom?

    Thanks

Tricky subject... some rooms will allow offering incentives like what you describe - others will strictly prohibit this. Best bet would be to ask your affiliate manager(s) for written permission before proceeding...

You'll find this one has been discussed at length before (not sure if it was here or at a previous forum) under the name 'incentive marketing' or 'offering players incentives to sign-up' if you wanted to do more research.

If you are on a revshare deal no program will complain as you only make a % of there rake,

If you are on cpa be careful as this might be considered fraud.

I don't think it would be allowed on most Ongame and iPoker rooms as it would probably be considered rakeback/cashback or whatever.

I wouldn't try this except on a personal basis with a close friend, and only if you have a rev. share deal.

Unfortunately, you will have to grow your business quite a lot until you will be able to negotiate offerings like the ones that pokerstrategy.com has.

regarding Ongame and their policy, can I offer a bonus to a player that get quads in a cash game? I want to offer a player who sign on an Ongame skin, a bonus each time he hits quads, for example 50x the big blind. Can I offer that on my website as an affiliate for an Ongame skin?

I would try to find sites that already have these deals. At the end of the day you wont have much to hand out a promotion like that can realy hurt your profits. What if the player ran with the bonus there would be nothing you could do about as you cant enforce restrictions

From a Poker room's perspective, "incentivized players" are lower quality/value as most of these players will not put up their own money (only play with what they got from you) and stop when that bankroll is finished.
This is not good for you or your partner-poker room - earning real money with poker means long-term partnerships as players need to play large amounts of raked hands in order for the rooms to recoup CPA paid to affiliate. And if you want to earn Rev share - same story - players need to stick around an play long-term.
Be careful - and check with your affiliate manager! You might loose that partnership completely.

just get your idea to paper very detailed. make a concept and give your presentation to several affiliate managers. i dont think that there should be a problem.
but: incentivized players have no loyality concerning money which is actually not their own investment so they don't care about it at all. they mostly play like 'all or nothing'.
u will be lucky in some cases, but most players will end up with 'nothing'

I think it better just sign up for rakeback deals, because this way is less risky.
