If you're going to bet US Sports online - I strongly suggest 5Dimes.com or Bookmaker.eu.
Some succeed because they are destined to, but most succeed because they are determined to.
Because wordpress automatically pings when you create a post. You dont need backlinks to have a site indexed. I have a large number of indexed sites with 0 backlinks that rank on page one for the domain keywords.
Also, content is not duplicate I did 2 200 word pieces of original content, like a blurb making sure I didnt include any keywords.
I've done this with 3 domain sets, case one is the most significant, one site ranks at number 5 and the other at number 23. Another ranks at 17 and the .net 21 and the last one ranks at 6 for the .com and 8 for the .org.
This to me suggest there is a ranking boost for .com domains, but tbh I'm no expert so I could easily be wrong.

One reason why a top-level domain might struggle with Google is how its master DNS table is handled. I'm only guessing here -- I don't know for sure.
Another random guess is that the fewer domains in a TLD the less priority that TLD gets for discovery or recrawling (maybe).
It's impossible to know why Google does anything in particular. I wouldn't argue with anyone's success, but neither would I be enthusiastic about the challenge of developing search visibility for a .INFO domain. I've had to do this and found the experience less than wholly satisfying.
Maybe I was just working with below-average content. It's been a couple of years and I don't recall what kinds of sites were involved.

I own some poker keywords on both .info and another extension (either .com .net or .org) and the other extension always ranks above the .info, hosting similar content on both domains.
I also think .org ranks higher than .net, according to my experience with my own domains.
