Thoughts On eCommerce Sites?

I came across MyWifeQuitHerJob.com the other day. As soon as I seen the domain I had to visit the site just to see what it is about. Turns out its all about eCommerce sites and how to properly do it right the first time and make $100k+ in your first year.

While I am still on edge about going forward with one of these sites or just maybe add it to one of my websites for more branding. I would like to know your thoughts on them.

"Biz Ops" type sites are pretty popular right now with so many people looking to pick up a second income or make money on the internet. The key to these is really credibility and being able to point folks in the right direction if you do start a site like this. The last thing you want to do is have a site that refers your traffic to crappy MLM schemes or something similar.

If you do start a site like this, I would suggest being more of an internet marketing coach and giving your traffic many different options. Likewise you often need to work closely with a lot of people that have zero clue about internet marketing. This can be the frustrating part. But overall I think the concept definitely has potential if you do it right.

Thanks for the reply Jeremy. I am staying away from "Biz Ops" and the whole "make money online" niche. I started my so call "blogging career" in the make money online niche. After not making much money from it, after a year or so. I decided to try something else. Which lead me to focus on poker. I am happy I made the change. Although, I still struggle with converting players I am a lot more happier doing what I do.

As for the ecommerce site, I was thinking more along the lines of clothes. I mean poker is a niche I would like to stay focused on even if its not just signing up players to poker rooms and training sites. I think adding a clothing shop to one of my brands or building a stand alone shop to bring in another income stream would be nice. Also, I could use it as a retention tool to get players to reach a MGR level before receiving a free t-shirt.

Anyone have experience with ecommerce site selling clothes?
