Default Time to expand: bodybuilding and supplements

    Sup sup peoples.

I've been meaning to work on some non-gaming stuff for a while now, but haven't put a whole lot of effort into it. I'm going to try my hand at bodybuilding information and supplements. Want to monetize the site with supplement affiliate programs and possibly other things like equipment, DVDs, etc.

I have a domain ready to go: BodyBuildingFYI.com. Also have ideas for about a thousand pages of useful information.

Hmmm...not really sure where I'm going with this thread. Anyone interested in this niche... let's talk strategy right here. I'm actually looking forward to working on this new site because I feel like I can do things my own way and come up with a lot of original, useful content.

As you know I have had a similar project on the burner for awhile, I think it may be much "slower" in terms of roi and income flow, but has massive potential. Def glad to see you diversifying bro.

I'm all ears on ideas to monetize health/fitness related traffic myself. I realize we can sell everything from supplements to equipment to ebooks - just unsure how far down the road "money terms" are.

This is something I've been trying to get into to but been way too busy with sports stuff for the most part.

Will come back to this thread after my vacation

I launched a site about creatine few months ago. I monetize it with a simple product recommendation and redirect to Amazon. Maybe that's not the best way to monetize.
What's your experience with link building? To me it seems to be tougher than poker or casino. As if the alarm bells are ringing if you even mention soom BB and sup words. Didn't think that it could be worse than poker or forex but it looks like it is...

I've got a domain ProteinPowderReviews.org that i've been meaning to develop for some time.

If we can talk strategy, where to buy good fitness content etc, best aff programs, I'd definitely be up for doing something now rather then later and havinng a brain storm.

I'll let you all know about any quality affiliate programs I find. I have ordered a lot of products from BodyBuilding.com and really happy as a customer. They have an affiliate program through CJ but I havn't looked into it in detail.

My plan for the new site is not to be a slave to keywords and link building. I'm going to build this site up from the ground up to be as *real* as possible for the visitors.... Sort of a pokerprop style approach.

I'm wondering if amazon aff program will perform better then bodybuilding.com for supplements? (less attractive commission structure but I am thinking that many buyers will buy other items they didn't intend on purchasing can make up for that). I never really sell much on BB for the traffic I am getting, not that I push supplements that much.

I recently acquired supplementreviews.co.uk and would be interested in exchanging ideas with anyone that has started developing a domain in the bodybuilding industry.

Maybe we can get a mastermind group going for anyone in the industry. I'm looking to get going with my supplement site.

I worked in the supplement industry for a few years, so I have a fair amount of knowledge of the products.
