Hey Knup,
I've been testing some Clickbank products on prominent places of my celebrity gossip site and the results have been less than stellar... just one conversion in one week. For more than 70,000 pageviews per day, it's not very interesting
I removed all Clickbank ads and I guess I'll stick to CPM for now. My CPM rates are slowly getting back to what they were before so that's a good sign.
Here's the combo I currently use for advertising:
Banner ads (standard IAB sizes) - Ad rep firm selling branded ads for my premium inventory, then ad network which fills 100% of my unsold inventory. I ditched AdSense as the income for entertainment sites is ridiculously low.
Blogads - Income can vary a lot from months to months, depending on the sales I make.
VibrantMedia IntelliTXT - Contextual incontent text link ads. Revenues dropped drastically these last 2 years but still a good source of supplemental income.

. try finding out what demo most visits your site and target ads at that demo. no use showing afro American hair care products to 15 year old white girls who would give their right arm for that vampire stuff. ugh am so old i dont even care what its called, but a member here wrote a post about how his site for a fam member as a side project got so popular he started getting 47k worth of uniques.
