How to monetize celebrity traffic?

I'm looking to get some input from all of you. I get some real nice traffic from celebrity blogs/fansites. These are mostly Disney Channel stars and sports celebrity sites. For the most part I think the traffic is "kiddish" which sucks. Nude ads is probably not a great option for these. Affiliate ads haven't performed real well due to the traffic being younger I think and not buying things. Adsense pays a little but pennies for celeb traffic. Any other ideas of what I could do?

Hey Knupp,

Try putting up some cpa ads that just require an email or zip submit.

Put up some for gadgets like the iphone, ipad, etc.

Maybe your kiddie traffic will convert better on these. A good zip submit can get you $1.00 or so per conversion.

Look at cpa networks like Commission Junction, COPEAC, Incentaclick, etc.

smack is right... go for some cpa offers that pay whenever someone completes some survey, takes a quiz or you could even get paid for things like toolbar downloads and crap like that. I don't recommend the toolbar downloads but if you're desperate, you're desperate.

I know a guy who has a celebrity gossip blog and he promotes this product on it: Farmville Secrets | Farmville Strategy | Farmville Guide sells quite well apparently. It's an ebook for some facebook game that people are wild for.

I'm glad I found this thread. I run a very popular US gossip site and for years I made good amounts of cash with branded advertising. But since last year display advertising income plummeted as traffic continued to grow and I now earn 70% less than what I used to earn a year ago. My site is represented by one of the biggest online ad rep firms in the world, but I'm seriously tempted to part ways with them and try to find new revenues streams as those millions of pageviews per month got to be monetized somehow.

I will try the Farmville Secrets affiliate program right now on the site and let you know how it goes.

Before moving into gambling I worked managing affiliate programs in the family / baby vertical (how's that for a dramatic reversal??) and we had a lot of these celebrity blogs working with us.

Check out TheCuteKid photo contest, as well as Education Dynamics "Project Working Mom". These have some pretty high CPAs (PWM pays $40 a lead or something crazy like that), and both have a pretty high appeal for the mommy type audience that tends to read on these sites (keep in mind the kids reading are often accompanied).
