Default Anyone Tried Apple Vacations Aff Program?

I briefly looked at their aff program and it looked pretty damn good. However I didn't go through it with a fine tooth comb and I've obv never used it.

This company is HUGE in the market of air & all inclusive vacations in Mexico, Caribbean, Hawaii, Dominican Republic etc..

Anyone marketed them yet, and if so, what type of site did/do you have them on and what were the results?

    Thanks

CPA "seems" high, $72 per booking, but I'd imagine this isn't all that it is cracked up to be, I just have travelocity and expedia stuff on my sites now through commission junction, will be looking for a new solution eventually.

I was thinking the same thing about the cpa, it's high. But, considering most vacation packages are $1200-$4000 it seems realistic. Since there is no travel agent involved by going through aff's, it seems that it 'could' be as good as it looks. I'd love to test this market soon and find out...there are a TON of keywords to go after that even tiny 2-3 page mini-sites could dominate.

How are the travel affiliate programs with CJ? Any luck with those? I've always wanted to do a travel site. Would it be better off with those aff programs or adsense?

I just bought a domain today for travel/vacation in my area.

Surprised that I could find a domain with 110,000 monthly searches that is still unregistered.

I am using Commission Junction as well, though I of course have no results to report.

Nice job man! That's one of the reasons I think this could be a great market, there are so many great keywords to target, with lots of traffic and plenty of exact match domains still available.

jdwanchalk - have you got a website up on that domain with 110k worth of searches? I always do that, and never seem to hit gold but mainly do it with online gaming. There a ton of other niches out there.

Ahem side note i tried this with the most random sex keywords, and i mean really random as a test to see what was available. some keywords i tried were ...well lets just say to yourself who on earth would search for [sexually explicit keyword you just made up]. and EVERY keyword that had a big amount of searches a month was taken. EVERY single one of them. I could just imagine some guy spending his entire day doign keyword searches and buying domains with those keywords.
