Discouraging anyone from posting something for sale is simply a terrible idea. Some people may not have clue, but want to put something for sale. If you don't want to negotiate via PM's with someone who hasn't posted tons of info, then simply ignore their sales thread and move on. If someone new to selling wants to list something to see what kind of interest it gets, why discourage that. This seems like rules to make it easier on the seasoned buyer/seller, which makes absolutely no sense. If you don't think someone listed enough info, then either ask for more or simply move on.

I think we can do away with the signature thing. Also I think the best solution is to have a plugin/mod built that will be somewhat of a clone to what sitepoint's marketplace is and you can have a BIN listed if you wish.

We tried the classified thing, but that didn't work, nobody used it. I'll talk to Tommy and see what it would take to get something like this coded.

Yeah great idea Jeremy, I dunno where the sig thing came in, but yeah I dunno that it helps anything. A sitepoint clone would kick so much ass! Go Tommy! GOGOGOGO

Earner's Forum also has a decent marketplace. There is not a proper sitepoint clone/plugin out there right now for VB, but the good news is anything can be coded.

Tommy let us know what you think, or talk to your people. We need this.

Be sure to add the ability to do auctions with TIMERS and such.. Lots of us, me included for sure, are impulse buyers and would prolly jump at items that were almost closed with no or low bids

Holis, your picture should probably be on wikipedia.com/impulse_buyer somewhere!

I agree though, a time limit is a great idea.
