Default Help this soccer fan, but NFL newbie!

    Hello friends.

Turns out I will be in NYC for one week in november, and I would love to watch a NFL match for the first time.

The day is november 21st, the Jets will be playing against Houston Texans on the New Meadowlands Stadium.

    Some questions for you:

    1. Is this a good match to watch? LOL

    2. Any suggestions about how to get reasonable ticket prices?

    3. If you were going to choose, would you pick section 340 (sort of middle but far) or 143 (sort of corner but close)? - stadium map below

    4. Or should I forget about it and watch college football or NFL?

    Any help would be appreciated.

And bonus question: I could go to the match versus Cincinatti Bengals on nov 25th, but this would be the day before my flight home, so I don't know. Which would you pick?

    1) Yes two quality teams (good matchup of good Houston offense against great Jets defense
    2) stubhub
3 143, should be a better location for you
    4) college games are great, especially in the south...can't beat the atmosphere of an SEC game

Believe it or not, most college football games provide a better atmosphere than NFL games. However, the stadium is always cooler in the NFL, if you care about that stuff. Will call at the stadium most likely has seats, but they will probably be crappy.

    Ticketmaster or Stubhub for tickers.

My advice is more related to lingo...

It is a football game, not a match.

You can call it a match-up or a contest, but game is the best word to use.

One last note,I know nothing of the stadium in question, but as it is a new venue I would assume all the seats provide a good, clear view of the game. But I think for a football game I would want a seat close to the 50yard line. So I would choose 340 over 143, it is probably cheaper as well.

I recommend getting as close as you can. Being new to the sport, and never seeing a game before - this will definitely add to the experience. Do not sit in the 3rd level. You will pay for great seats, but it will be well worth it (even if you aren't a huge football fan), it's a great experience.

I have season tickets in the 3rd row (but endzone) and it definitely sucks when all of the action is on the other side of the field, but I have also sat in the 3rd level (towards the middle) and it sucks more. I do have 2 games per year in the 1st row on the 50 yard line, and it is a totally different experience.

To get your tickets, just go to ticketmaster.com and purchase them there. You are not going to find better prices at stubhub. The face value tickets (which is as good as it gets, unless you buy from someone off the streets) are going to be widely available via ticketmaster.com. You can go on there and then print your tickets out right after purchase.
If you need Casino Reviews, I probably have the one(s) you're looking for.

I have another doubt. If I buy tickets for "section 135, row 4", what happens on the day of the game? Am I able to choose my seats on this row, or the tickets come with the exact seat I need to go?

(This is for the New Meadowlands Stadium)

Agree 100% but I think the fans and atmosphere in the big 12 like Nebraska is better.
