Congrats on the purchase Kev - it's definitely a good bit of kit, so let us know how you get on with it.
For what it's worth, I've got a bit of a love/hate relationship with Apple. I'll say up front that I work on an iMac and love it to bits. It boots up quickly, is easy to use and I find myself a lot more productive on it than I ever was an on a PC, partly because everything integrates so well and runs so smoothly.
The software's great, it looks sharp and I don't regret spending the money that I did on it.
Having said all that though, I wouldn't count myself as an Apple fanboy.
Their marketing and constant upgrades (the original iPad only being out for barely a year before being outdated and rumours of the iPhone 5 launching in the next few months) means that I can't help feeling they're taking the piss a bit, especially given the inflated prices.
I should say, I don't own either of those two products but it does get me wondering whether something similar will happen to me as an iMac user.
Anyway, I'm getting off topic here - for what it's worth I think you made the right choice Kev. There's only a small learning curve to get over and from there I think you'll find it a step up.

Thanks Simon, and yeah I agree it's pretty lame they hold back features just so they can do another product release.

What are you guys on Macs preferring as your regular browser, Firefox, Chrome, or Safari. I use all of them and haven't really made a definitive answer to which I'll move to 100% yet.
I use Chrome the vast majority of the time. It's just so much faster than the current version of Firefox. I tried the beta of Firefox 4.0 and it definitely does seem to be a lot faster, so I may give it a shot once it is released. And Safari just sucks, IMO.
Unfortunate. Could have made a video and lit the money on fire for all to see!
I dont have any idea about mac yet but ive heard to some people that not all software you can install to pc can also install to mac. But my advise is why not ask for the most expert about that.
And for me why not stick to pc.
