Anyone See Massive SERP betting traffic for grand national?

I checked my stats for yesterday and thought my getclicky analystics was completely broken or something lol.

One of my mini-sites which usually gets around 40-50 hits per day got 270 for yesterday.

Never seen anything like that before. The site was to do with sports betting so I'm assuming it was because of the grand national.

Anyone else notice traffic extremes on their betting sites? Couldn't care less about grand national, but damn, those are some impressive stats as an affiliate!

EDIT: shouild add that none of the serp traffic was "grand national" related. It was all regular "betting" or review/bonus type traffic.

I did but not as much as I saw in March with the Cheltenham festival. Went from 150ish a day to about 600 a day for the 3 days of Ascot racing. In March went to about 1300 a day for the full week of the festival.

Also not grand national related terms just general betting/bet terms.

You have to remember that pretty much the whole country stops and has at least a small bet on grand national day, there is a huge amount of traffic you could target for it.

That is so true, even my granny asked my mum if she placed a bet on the grand national lol.

I really don't pay these kind of betting events the respect they deserve. Had no idea it was even that big a deal.

Also benefited from this. My guess is a lot of RMP's generated won't stick around for long though.
