Going to another one this afternoon... this time the units are inside a climate controlled interior system. Only 3 up for auction today... should be fun. If we see something we like we are going for it today.

People die, they move, divorce. The issue is that if they got distracted and didn't pay their bill for 4 months, they owe 4 months worth of storage and they can't get in their unit.

According to law, the storage company can only recoup the money that is owed to them and everything above is given to the client - auctioneer cut which can range from 15-30%.

I agree some lockers they bid on tv look like they are setup. However, they are probably filming a hundreds lockers vs the 3 they use on the show. I can't tell you how much shit are in some of these units that you won't want.

I literally have seen people pay 300-500 for garbage. About 20 plastic bins filled with papers and files. People gamble.

You have to remember the time and cost it takes to unload this shit. I am a part owner of a moving company so we have labor, trucks, etc that make some of this doable.

Bottom line its more of a commitment than they make it on the show.
