I don't think there ever will be a WWIII if the major powerhouses like China, USA, and Russia stop that from happening. Most under control countries who have some sort of common since understand that a nuclear bomb could and would wipe out the entire country quickly. If the USA strikes North Korea or Iran to protect ones interest (like freedom) Russia and China will look away as they know the world would be a very sad and dark place if they tried to intervene.

I think most realize when push comes to shove Russia, China, USA, will never go to war.. Your talking about the possibility of elimination of human kind. The Cuban missile crises is a perfect example. USA and Russia both backed down knowing the consequences winning or not would be devastating.

I find it ironic that the point about fighting for freedoms consistently being brought up - considering America is not a democracy and their peoples have almost no freedom.

This is true for most of the western world now, especially Australia. Our Prime Minister wasn't even elected by the people, figure that one out.

For the record, he acknowledges the separation of church and state that is the 1st amendment. The federal government has zero authority in directing morality, religious doctrine, etc.
